My valued clients take the cake! As of April 25, 2012, that cake will be embellished with 24 candles.

In 1988, I embarked upon the career dream of my lifetime: operating my own creative communications business. Soon after, I began writing a fledgling newsletter for an organization as unique and valuable as the clients it serves: Indian Health Council (IHC). www.indianhealth.com

Over the years, IHC and its quarterly newsletter have grown and evolved. (I like to think that, as a professional, I have as well.)

IHC’s publication carries the unpretentious title of Newsletter, but it’s so much more than that. The 12-page Newsletter shines a light on IHC’s mission, keeps clients up-to-date on vital health and well-being information and programs, informs the wider community about many positive things happening in North County Indian Country and promotes a sense of pride among clients.

This is an organization whose Harvard-educated Medical Director could have attained a more lucrative position anywhere, but who chose to return to a reservation where he grew up; where his parents worked to get the clinic off the ground and where he did landscaping for the clinic as a teenager.

It has been my privilege and my pleasure to serve Indian Health Council and all of my clients over these past two-plus decades. I look forward to many more years of giving your products and services The WRITE Touch.

So … let’s light the candles and get this party started!
